講座內容
Digital Image Processing is a mainstream field of research and application in areas ranging from medicine, biotechnolgy, and environmental monitoring, to industrial inspection, biometrics, robotics, and visual aspects of machine learning and artificial intelligence. This talk is an overview of the field, its history, and major current applications. Principles of how image processing technology is commercialized will also be discussed and illustrated with products that have resulted from academic research, and which have been commercially successful. Because of the recent focus of the Chinese government on innovation and its strategic importance in building a modernized economy, this talk should also be of interest to individuals working in research areas that have the potential for becoming innovative technologies with commercial applications.
